Shareaza是一款著名的開源文件共享客戶端(filesharing client)，在著名開源項目網站Sourceforge下載量常年排名前十，支持多種文件共享和發布網路是它的特點，目前支持的有：Gnutella2、Gnutella、eDonkey2000、HTTP、FTP、BitTorrent。基於GPL開源協議許可，而且不在任何地方包括安裝包選項捆綁任何廣告，網址鏈接，流氓軟體。而臭名昭著的吸血流氓軟體Vagaa即修改自Shareaza而來。和存在很多假冒eMule官方網站emule-project.net的釣魚網站（形如：emule.org、emule.com）一樣，假冒Shareaza官方網站的釣魚網站也是層出不窮，所以請認準正宗Shareaza官方站點：http://shareaza.sourceforge.net/

值得注意的是Shareaza從版本2.5.4.0開始添加有限的對DC++的支持，目前僅是實驗性質。Direct Connect是另外一個著名的P2P文件分享網路，主要流行在大學或研究機構，其主要客戶端DC++在sourceforge也是前十位的P2P文件分享程序。
Shareaza 2.5.4.0的更新內容還有：新的UPnP/ 代碼；添加對uTorrent節點來源交換的支持等，詳細更新日誌見下。

shareaza

Shareaza分為標準版和sse2版本（sse2版本要求你的CPU必須支持SSE2）

Shareaza的特點有：下載預覽播放、用戶意見、評分，IRC聊天、傳送消息，自定義皮膚外觀樣式，以及3個用戶模式，安全性黑名單，可過濾惡意IP與客戶端。（註：linux下有Sharelin）

This lists the major changes between Shareaza v2.5.3.0 r8633 ("Version bumped (non-SSE2).") on June 13, 2010 and v2.5.4.0 r8909 ("Bumped version 2.5.4.0.") on February 12, 2011. There have been a total of 276 revisions during that time.

Note that non-informative log messages, such as "Addition to rXXXX.", "Clean-up." and similar messages have been taken out of the list and sometimes several changes on the same subject have been combined into one statement.
